North Queensland Cowboys Captain’s Run
Friday 14th April, approximately 10:30am – 12pm. Please arrive from 10:15am.
Join us, as part of a small group to observe the Cowboys Captain’s Run ahead of their mouth-watering clash against the Warriors at Mount Smart on Saturday the 15th.
Location: Blues HQ, 32 Campbell Crescent, Epsom, Auckland 1051
Parking is available on site. A member of the Dynasty Sport team will be there from 10:15am to meet you. We can then walk over to the training facility for the Captain’s Run.
Lunch, followed by a discussion on high performance with Todd Payten and Michael Luck

Todd Payten and Michael Luck – Approximately 12:30pm – 1:30pm
Captain’s Run will be followed by a brief lunch.
Then we move into a session on high performance with Cowboys’ Coach, Todd Payten and Cowboys’ GM Football, Michael Luck.
Both Todd and Michael have spent parts of their careers at the Warriors and are now part of a North Queensland Cowboys organisation that are coming off the back of an outstanding 2022 campaign.
Todd received the Dally M Coach of the Year Award last year and has also won an NRL Premiership with Wests Tigers in 2005, a highlight in a career including 260 appearances.
Michael Luck debuted for the Cowboys in 2001, amassing 76 first grade appearances. Michael moved to the Warriors in 2006 where he went on to play 150 games, including the 2011 NRL Grand Final against the Sea Eagles. He won the Clubman of the Year award twice as well as the club Player of the Year in 2009.
Amongst other things, Todd and Michael will talk about their approach to high performance, how to get the best of a team, as well as sharing some stories from their respective careers.
There will be time for a Q&As at the end of the session so please come prepared to ask a question.
