REDS DETERMINED TO BOTTLE IT IN 2020

The 2020 Super Rugby Season is almost upon us and there is plenty for Queensland Rugby fans to be excited about as Head Coach Brad Thorn continues to build one of the competitions most exciting teams.

The popular maroon jersey is back in 2020, and the team at Dynasty Sport, Queensland Rugby Union’s (QRU) Official Apparel Partner, have designed a garment which will not only assist the Queensland Reds players to achieve their Super Rugby goals, but also have a far reaching, positive environmental message.

The Queensland Reds will be the first professional Australian sporting team to run out wearing the Dynasty Sport industry changing BioMax fabric technology. BioMax is a unique fabric constructed from used plastic bottles collected from the poorest neighbourhoods, oceans and waterways.

The plastic bottles are recycled by breaking them down into pellets and converting them into a high-quality yarn which is then used to construct specific garments that will feature in Dynasty Sport’s professional partners 2020 apparel ranges.

Dynasty Sport Director Tyler Rakich is pleased with the brands environmental focus.

“As an organisation, Dynasty Sport are committed to reducing our carbon footprint through constant garment research, development and innovation” Rakich said.

“Our technologically advanced BioMax fabric is constructed from ethically sourced plastic bottles. Through collaborative research and development, we have aligned our values in environmentally sustainable and socially responsible practices.”

Of course, the changes don’t stop there! The Queensland Reds home strip contains a series of new features including an ergonomic V-Neck collar, while a series of subtle lines run through the jerseys main body.

Officially unveiled at today’s annual QRU Long Lunch at Brisbane City Hall, the Queensland Reds 2020 Home Jersey will be available from dynastysport.com.au early December with deliveries made prior to Christmas.
